Classify procurement spend in Google Sheets with Gemini and Gmail

On a schedule, it processes form answers with Google Gemini using Gmail, Google Sheets.

What it does

## AI-Powered Spend Classification Workflow (Procurement Industry) This workflow automatically classifies procurement transactions into standardized spend categories using Google Gemini, an approved spend taxonomy, and previously reviewed classification examples. Transactions that meet the configured confidence threshold and have no meaningful ambiguity are automatically classified and logged. Low-confidence, ambiguous, or invalid classifications are routed for human review by email. A separate review form validates the reviewer’s selected category against the active taxonomy, updates the final transaction classification, records the audit event, and stores the approved human decision as a future classification example. ## Setup steps 1. Connect Google Sheets, Google Gemini, and Gmail credentials. 2. Select your procurement workbook and confirm the required sheet names and columns. 3. Update values in Load Workflow Settings, including the confidence threshold and review email. 4. Configure the schedule and workflow timezone. 5. Publish the workflow so the human review form Production URL becomes available. 6. Test both an auto-classified transaction and a review-required transaction before enabling the schedule.
